View of West Runton beach 2006The two villages of East Runton and West Runton belong to the single parish of Runton. West Runton beach is a Site of Scientific Interest for its geology, including the internationally important West Runton Freshwater Bed, which is a part of the famous Cromer Forest-bed that has yielded spectacular fossils from the Ice Age.
